Build Your Book
Whether you’re a new model building your portfolio or an experienced model looking for a refresh, this session is designed to give you a diverse collection of high-quality images in one efficient studio shoot. We’ll spend approximately three hours creating as many distinct looks as possible—not for the sake of volume, but to ensure every setup is intentional, creative, and thoughtfully crafted.
Below, you’ll find more information and examples of the different types of “looks” we can explore. When you book your session, I’ll send you a brief form with a few questions about your preferences and aesthetic direction. This helps me prepare the wardrobe, lighting, mood boards, and concepts in advance so we can make the absolute most of our time together.

‘Build Your Book’ is all about maximizing your time in the studio to create a wide variety of high-impact looks for your portfolio. You don’t need hundreds of photos—just a handful of strong, memorable images from each setup. The goal is to move efficiently through multiple looks so you walk away with a diverse, dynamic collection that truly showcases your range.
New to modeling or worried about posing? No stress at all. For each look, I’ll guide you through three solid, industry-standard poses that we’ll be sure to capture. Once we have those secured, we’ll use the remaining time to practice additional poses together. I’ll coach you through movement, expression, and angles, and quite often we end up capturing some of our favorite images during this practice time. It’s a relaxed, supportive environment designed to help you grow your confidence in front of the camera while creating beautiful work.
Highlight your favorites! One of the biggest perks of this package is the ability to help select your own images. We’ve all experienced getting a gallery back and wishing different moments were chosen. After the session, we’ll review the images together so you can highlight your favorites. I’ll then choose the strongest selects based on your picks—and if you want even more photos, you’ll have the option to upgrade your package.
Below, you’ll find examples of the photography styles we can work with. Once you’ve booked your shoot, we’ll chat about your preferred aesthetics and creative direction. From there, I’ll put together a customized mood board to align our vision. We’ll also go over what to expect and everything you’ll need to bring to make the most of your time in the studio.
Digitals
Digitals are clean, simple, and true-to-life—designed to show your natural look without heavy styling or editing. These images are typically taken in jeans and a tank top, with only minimal retouching for unexpected blemishes. The goal is to provide agencies and clients with an accurate, authentic representation of you exactly as you are. The BYB package includes 4 updated digitals for free!

Raw
This style focuses on capturing raw, authentic moments. Think minimal makeup, natural lighting, and a relaxed, effortless aesthetic—often photographed against one of my custom hand-painted canvas backdrops. The goal is to highlight a model’s true, unfiltered beauty without distraction. These images are commonly used as the lead shot in a portfolio, thanks to their honesty and timeless appeal.

Beauty Campaign
This look draws inspiration from high-end cosmetic campaigns, focusing on close-up portraits with beautiful, flattering lighting. The goal is to highlight the model’s features with a clean, polished, and editorial feel—creating striking images that look ready for a professional beauty or makeup brand.

Commercial
Commercial looks are clean, approachable, and brand-friendly—similar to a classic Gap or lifestyle e-commerce campaign. Styling is kept simple and minimal, often using jeans and basic pieces that let your personality shine through. The focus is on creating natural, relatable images that feel fresh, effortless, and ready for real-world advertising.

High Fashion
High fashion is bold, luxurious, and editorial—full of color, drama, and elevated glamour. This style embraces striking poses, vibrant styling, and an expensive, high-end feel reminiscent of major fashion magazines. The goal is to create unforgettable, statement-making images that showcase confidence, creativity, and a true runway or couture vibe.

High Contrast Editorial
Dark and moody editorial work is all about atmosphere—bold shadows, dramatic contrast, and intentionally harsh lighting that creates depth and intensity. This style leans into emotion and edge, producing striking, cinematic images with a strong artistic point of view. It’s perfect for models wanting something powerful, evocative, and visually unforgettable in their portfolio.

Vintage Flash
Vintage Flash sessions channel the bold, nostalgic energy of early film photography—direct flash, rich shadows, and a slightly raw, editorial edge. This style feels spontaneous and fashion-forward, with a touch of retro glamour reminiscent of 90s runway backstage shots or paparazzi-style fashion campaigns. Using my vintage flash setup, we create images that are punchy, expressive, and full of character. It’s the perfect look for models who want something stylish, high-impact, and slightly rebellious in their portfolio—a blend of old-school charm and modern high-fashion attitude.

Outdoor Editorial
Outdoor Editorial sessions bring a cinematic, magazine-worthy quality to your portfolio by combining fashion with the energy and unpredictability of real-world environments. Depending on the concept and conditions, we may work with soft natural light, bold hard sunlight, or added flash to create striking contrast, depth, and mood. Whether the backdrop is sweeping landscape, textured urban architecture, or something minimal and clean, these shoots are designed to feel dynamic, expressive, and high-fashion—exactly the kind of imagery you’d expect to see in top editorial magazines.

Fine Art
Fine Art sessions are where creativity and craftsmanship come together to create images that feel less like photographs and more like timeless works of art. This style is inspired by the elegance of vintage fashion and the sophistication of classic Vanity Fair lighting—soft, sculpted, and deeply flattering. I often style these shoots using pieces from my curated collection of vintage dresses, paired with one of my hand-painted canvas backdrops to create depth, texture, and a painterly, gallery-worthy feel.
The goal is to capture something truly elevated—images that could live on the pages of Vogue, hang as artwork in a home, or serve as standout hero pieces in a model’s portfolio. These sessions invite stillness, emotion, and storytelling, resulting in portraits that feel intimate, cinematic, and unforgettable. This is, without question, one of my favorite styles to shoot, and a chance to create something genuinely unique and artistically expressive. While professional hair and make up isn't required, it's highly recommended for this look.
